The High School Summer School program is designed for students who will be entering grades 9, 10, 11 or 12 in the fall of 2018. Summer school programs will take place at East High School, La Follette High School, Memorial High School and West High School.
A range of courses will be offered for credit recovery and first time credit. The high school summer course catalog is available here, and will be in the high school guidance offices after spring break. Here is the registration form, which is also on the last page of the catalog, that can be turned in at the high school. The deadline to register for classes is Tuesday, May 1, 2018.
Because space is limited, priority will be given to those students who are behind in credits and on a descending grade level basis: 12, 11, 10, 9, & 8. Students with individualized education programs (IEP) should consult with their school counselor and/or case manager before registering for courses. Students with disabilities will be provided access to Summer School; however, IEP’s will not be implemented in summer school unless an Extended School Year IEP is on file.
Please note, this does not include students who are in the 8th grade non-promotion program. There is more information about that program on our middle school program information page.
